FINALS BFAST TONIGHT 9/14/11
Yes indeed, its time again for our finals breakfast. Join us tonight, outside in the courtyard between our building and building 3 for our first ever attempt at finals breakfast outside. Menu includes juice, bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes and crepes. New this quarter............Breakfast burrito's. Come hungry!

Game Night Unplugged
Saturday, September 10th, Neumont University presents Game Night Unplugged. Bring your own table top game or try some classic RPG scenarios brought to you by our new TTG club (Tabletop Gamers.) Game Night Unplugged will be from 7pm-midnight in room 200.

NERD A PALOOZA is this Friday night through Saturday
NERD A PALOOZA Starts this Friday, August 12th at 7pm and runs through the night.

7-11pm-FIFA Tournament, Brawl Tournament, Battle Of The Rockbands, Battlefield Vietnam
11pm-1am-NTF/Nerf event
1am-5am Starcraft II Tournament ($5)
5am-League Of Legends Tournament ($3)
8am-9am-Breakfast
Gladiator RPG running most of the night, bring your Magic The Gathering cards or other games. Game Lab will be available for open play after FIFA and Brawl tournament concludes.

UNPLUG & PLAY! 7/18-7/22
Use more than a control pad and your fingers to play this week. It's finally time for the UNPLUG & PLAY FESTIVAL! The Unplug & Play Festival begins tonight as we playtest upcoming activities that will be played throughout the week. Study sessions from 5-7pm every night this week in room 200. Games begin at 7pm.

TRON GUY-Summer 2011
Welcome back Neumont Students! Are you ready for Summer Quarter 2011? "Tron Guy" is!
We have some great activities coming up this quarter and hope you will join us.
Your 1st few weeks, if you accept "Tron Guy's" challenge, looks like this.
-Thursday, July 14th, "Explosions In The Sky." Free concert at Pioneer Park downtown SLC.
-Friday, July 15th, Week 1 Done. Classic Fun Center. Free rollerskating, bounce area, 3D laser tag, jungle play area, huge NERF-type cannons.
-Monday, July 18th-Friday, July 22nd is the "Unplug & Play" festival. Unplug from console and on-line gaming, get outside and PLAY. Study sessions every night from 5p-7p in room 200 followed by fun, unique games every night beginning at 7pm.
-Plug back in on Saturday, July 23rd as BTS brings you another League Of Legends extravaganza.

Day @ Liberty Park 6/11/11
Join us at 1pm this coming Saturday (6/11/11) for a trip to Liberty Park. Sign-up on JP's door for a shuttle spot. We will provide pic-nic and park games such as bocce, croquet and sand volleyball. We will also be doing ice-blocking down the main Liberty Park hill. Talk to JP for more info.

Memorial Day BBQ/Zombie Romance
The scheduled LOL Tourney this weekend has been cancelled by BTS/GSO/TGG.
Good news is that this is a long weekend. Monday, May 30th (Memorial Day-No School) @ noon, the Pinnacle Pool area will be the site of an all-american BBQ hosted by NTF and USG. Bring $4 for food and dont forget your swimsuit.
On Wednesday, June 1st, at noon in room 200, students are invited to a fireside chat with our University President, Ned Levine. Students are welcome to ask questions and listen to the President speak about the direction of the University.
Later that night (June 1st), at 6:30pm, Students can enjoy a free screening of the movie "Ahh!!! Zombies!!!!" This zombie romantic comedy is brought to you by our friend and radio host, Tom Carr. We will speak with the director of the movie via Skype, after the screening.

Paintball, NERF and Culture!
Some big events coming up this week. Thursday, May 19th, we will be travelling to Xtreme Paintball for a Paintball adventure. Sign up on JP's door or speak with Nate Davis for more information. Saturday, May 21st, at 7pm will be another "Zombies of Zomb" NERF event at Murray Park. Sunday, May 22nd, we will offer rides over to TRAX for shuttles headed downtown for The Living Traditions Festival. This free cultural celebration lasts the entire weekend.

Wednesday, May Fourth is STAR WARS DAY! We encourage all students to wear a STAR WARS related costume for the costume contest at noon in the commons. Students are also encouraged to bring their own STAR WARS related movies to watch in room 200 and other open classrooms starting at 6pm. MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU!

Unplug And Play
Our HVZ battle will continue tonight at Murray Park, rain or shine. We will continue to offer open study sessions from 5-7pm throughout the week. Because of the predicted weather forecast for the week, "Unplug & Play Festival" activities (except for the HVZ event on Mon.) will be postponed until further notice. We will let you know of a new date for the "Unplug & Play Festival's" week of creative and unique games outside. While the festival will be postponed, we still encourage you to use the week to take a break from online and console gaming. Thanks, JP

WEEK 1 DONE-CASINO NIGHT-NERF-CRIMSON NIGHTS
Week 1 Done Casino Night is rapidly approaching on Friday, April 15th. Casino games such as Blackjack, Roulette, Craps and Poker will be available in room 200 starting at 4pm. Come play for free and win chances at prizes. We will also have food and drinks available. Along with the Casino games, NTF will be running a James Bond style NERF game in the building. Check in for NERF play in the commons. At 9pm shuttles will run from the school to the U of U for another Crimson Nights event. PI Day Festivities!!!!!!!
This Friday, after the Coding Competition, join us for PI Day preperation as we create signs that we will use on Monday. Come up with the most original, creative sign and win a $25 gift certificate to "The Pie Pizzeria."

Pie for breakfast. Come and get your pie for breakfast before its gone. Pie will be served at 8am.
Noon will be our Costume contest in the commons and the start to our Pi awareness rally. Another $25 gift card is up for grabs for our costume contest. Costumes will be judged on creativity. Use pie pans, pizza boxes or cover yourself with Pi digits. Immediately following the costume contest its time to rally. Bring your voices, signs and love for PI and join us in a march out to the corner of 106th south. Our goal is to let the people of South Jordan, Utah know about our love for PI and this special day.

Neumont Talent Show.........this Friday!!!!!
This Friday, March 4th, Student Affairs is proud to present Neumont's most talented and daring students battling for talent supremacy. The show will start at 7pm in room 300. We will provide free popcorn and a great night of entertainment. Judges include Malak and Revan from Dungeon Crawlers Radio. Bands, Neumont's Choir, light show and impersonations are just a few of the treats we have in store for you on Friday. Come cheer on your favorites.

U of U Crimson Nights
Shuttles leave Pinnacle this Friday night at 8pm to the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. $5 and your Neumont badge will get you into this mega party for regional Collges and Universities. Join U of U, Westminster and SLCC students for a massive roller skating dance party, massages, amusement rides, carnival games and free food all night long from Chipotle. Unplug And Play Festival
This week long event will begin in next quarter's second week on April 18th. During this week we plan to bring zombies, a world record, chamball (google it), bike jousting and vampires here to Neumont. Stay tuned for more information on the festivals events. PARK CITY TUBING ADVENTURE THIS SATURDAY!!!
This Saturday, February 12th @ noon, we will be departing for the world famous tubing hills of Park City. Be prepared with water resistant coat, hat, gloves and water. Sign up on JP's door. If we can fill up the trip with 20 students the cost will be only $15 with the added help of USG. This event was a big success last year and we are really looking forward to it again.

GHOSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Neumont's first ever ghost hunt will be this Sunday, January 23rd. We will be headed out to Tooele, Utah to an abandoned Mental Hospital. We will take a tour and learn of the stories and history of the facility. We will then be invited to set off on our own to explore the hospital and meet the ghosts that inhabit it. Limited shuttle space is available for this trip. Sign up on JP's door. $15 will get you a spot on the shuttle and entry into the facility. Bring water, warm clothes, and any ghost hunting equipment that you want (cameras, recorders, etc. are all welcome.) No "Ouija" boards please.
