Super Smash Bros.tournament this Saturday, November 13th

BTS/GSO/TGG will be hosting a Super Smash Bros. tournament. The tournament is this Saturday, November 13th, from 2pm-midnight in room 200. A $5 entry fee will secure your place in the tourney and possible prizes and percentages of the entry fees for first, second and third places. Go to www.neumont.edu/brawl to register.

Friday-Paintball/ Saturday-Fall Hike

Friday, November 5th, we will be travelling to an indoor paintball facility. $20 will get you a ride and all the equipment you need. Shuttles will leave Pinnacle clubhouse @ 7:30pm. Sign up sheet is on Corrines door. Limited space. Spots are going quickly.

HALLOWEEK

Wednesday, October 27th-Paranormal Pot-luck. Bring your own food and something to share. Tom Carr, founder and president of the Wasatch Paranormal Society will be joining us and sharing Utah ghost stories, EVPs and new pictures. 6pm......Free.....Room 200.

Thursday, October 28th-Trip to "Nightmare on 13th" haunted house. Ranked yearly as one of Americas top haunted houses, this attraction will not disappoint. Shuttles will run from Pinnacle over to TRAX. TRAX stop at 13th south is a short walk from the stop. TRAX is $4 for a roundtrip ticket. This haunted house is $20. JP has $5 off coupons making the price $15. Shuttles leave Pinnacle promptly at 6pm.

Friday, October 29th-Costume contest here at Neumont. Costumes will be judged at lunch in the commons. Prizes will be given in multiple catergories.

Saturday, October 30th- H vs. Z!!!!!! Nerf battle, Humans vs. zombies style. We will be joining a community meet up group. Hundreds of participants are expected for this free event. Bring your own Nerf weaponry. Shuttles leave Pinnacle at 3:30pm. 20 spots are available for shuttles. Sign up with JP in room 217.

FLU SHOTS!!!!!

Flu shots will be available Wednesday, October 20th, from 11am-1pm in the library. CNS will be providing the Flu shots and will accept the following insurances: Altius, Blue Cross, DMBA, PEHP, Select Health, Summit Care, United Health Care, Medicare Part B, Some Medical Advantage Plans. If you dont have insurance, you can purchase a flu shot in the bookstore for $25. You will then use your reciept as your ticket for the shot. If you have any questions please talk to Corrine or JP.

Neumont University is invited to the University of Utah's Black Pumpkin Affair!!!!

$5 and your Neumont Student ID gets you into University of Utah's largest fall event. The Black Pumpkin Affair is a huge college party at the University of Utah. The event has bands, dj's, psychics, massage, hypnotists, owl and reptile shows, magicians and more. This event gives Neumont students a chance to meet other college students attending other regional Universities and Colleges. The event is this Friday, October 22nd. Shuttles will leave Pinnacle at 9pm and return at midnight or later depending when the group wants to come back. Only 20 spots are available on the shuttles. Sign up for a shuttle spot on JP's door (room 217.)

SWE is sponsoring a trip to a local Corn Maze this Saturday. There are also 20 spots available for this trip. You can sign up for a shuttle spot on JP's door. SWE will leave for the Corn Maze at 6pm this Saturday, October 23rd. The Corn Maze is only $3 for students and even cheaper if you are a SWE member.

Neumont Field Day

Saturday, August 28th, from 1pm-4pm, will be our first ever Neumont Field Day. The event will be at Riverfront Park just south of the school. Activities will include basketball, volleyball, croquet, bocce, badmitton and ultimate frisbee. We will also throw in some four square, kickball, water games, dodgeball, races and hopscotch to rewind the clock a bit. Shuttles to the event from Pinnacle at 12:45 and 1pm.

NERD A PALOOZA

Nerd A Palooza has been postponed to next Saturday, August 21st to make room for more bands and more ROCK!!!! This epic event begins @ noon and will last throughout the night here at the University.
  • BBQ from noon-1pm
  • Battle of the Rock Bands: $10 band entry fee. Min. of 2/ max. of 4 in each band. Great prizes. Bands judged on skill level as well as other criteria.
  • Sign your band up on the white board in the game room.

Solitude Trip This Saturday/Raging Waters next Saturday!

GEEKS TAKE OVER THE MOUNTAINS AND BEACHES!!!!

This Saturday, July 31st, we will be headed up to Solitude Mountain Resort for some hiking and mountain biking. We will leave the Pinnacle clubhouse promptly at 11am and spend most of the day at the resort. Bring your own lunch and bike or rent a brand new full suspension bike at the mountain.

Next Saturday, August 7th will be our annual trip to Raging Waters Waterpark. Limited discount tickets and shuttle space available. Shuttles will leave at 1pm on Saturday and return at about 7pm that night. Order Olympic events and lots of fun at the waterpark.

Afghan Star

This Sunday, May 23rd, Student Affairs invites you to join them for a free screening of the documentary, AFGHAN STAR.

Meet at the Pinnacle clubhouse at noon. We will take the shuttles over to Trax and ride Trax to the downtown City Library. Bring your own lunch or buy something downtown for a relaxing lunch on the Library grounds and an exciting game of four-square. AFGHAN STAR screens at 2pm.

The Interview Lounge is back this quarter for a one time engagement. The Interview Lounge will be open for business on Thurday, May 13th in room 217 (JP's office). Come in from 2pm-4pm on your way to the Halpin Lab for the Career Week booth fair. Come in and grab a mint, get help tying a tie or get your shoes shined on your way to meet future employers.

Real Salt Lake student night!!!!!

Saturday May 8th will be Neumont Universities student night @ Rio TInto Stadium. We will be watching Real Salt Lake take on the Philadelphia Union. Kickoff starts at 2pm. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased from JP in room 217. The first 20 tickets will be $5 off.

The Gentlemens Club will be hosting a tailgate party before the game starting at 12:30pm. You can bring your own food to grill or purchase a BBQ plate from the Gentlemen for a minimal price.

Shuttles will run to the event from Pinnacle starting at 12:30pm as well as after the event to return home.

WHERE? Jordan Landing Theatres. Shuttles will be provided for the first 20 people to purchase tickets.

COST? $5 with a portion of proceeds going to save the great coral reefs!

LAN Party this Friday, April 23rd, 6pm

TGG will be sponsoring another epic LAN party this Friday at 6pm-11pm. The party will focus on Diablo II and Blizzard Games. The soccer club will be hosting a FIFA 10 tournament and many other gaming options will be available. Food options will be available from the Root Beer Order for a minimal price.

4/16 - Downtown Bike Trip This Friday

We will be meeting @ Pinnacle club house @ 6pm. We will ride our bikes over to the Trax station and take Trax downtown. We will be going to Gallery Stroll to check out some art and light snacks. You could also go on an adventure of your choosing such as a Bees Baseball game or cruise to the Gateway for movies, food and Planetarium. Come to JPs office to check in and get a map and other info.
